It has been so long since my last post here. I have been so busy with work that my craft has been on the back burner. But I have been up to some interesting things lately. First, I’ve been working on my watercolor skills.

I recently realized that I have been lacking a bit in my preparedness when starting a piece. Namely, I have not been focusing on composition like I should. I have been studying some to remedy this. I really would love to participate in some official courses at some point. Time would be the biggest barrier there.

I’ve also been working on using Copic markers to “paint” as well. I’ve been inspired to do this by other artists online and it is really fun! Here are a few pieces I’ve done:

I hope you all have enjoyed this little update. I will try to keep things more current here. In the meantime, I’ve been meaning to muster the courage to open up my oil paints again. I have seen a beautiful under painting technique that I’m very interested to try. I just wish the cleanup wasn’t such a chore!
